Each time a target is detected in the network and you make a shot on the target, the Target is assigned automatically to the only lane in the Lane list. So you don't take care about assiging your target to a lane.

 +You can easily drag and drop the targets from your target list onto lanes in your lane list. The target will be immediately assigned to the lane. If you dont have lanes in the list where you can drop the target onto, easily click the "Add Lane" button.
